Black Lives Don't Matter a Hoot

One Giant Useless Force

You would be excused if you adopted the view that black lives don't matter and started up pop-up virtual following by creating a Twitter hash-tag along the lines of "#black lives-don't-matter-a-hoot".

Why might you be excused?  Well it's become apparent that the hash tag has become useful to, and used by, anyone who has a grievance about anything and has a millisecond, pop-up cause to push.

Tim Blair, blogging in the Australian Daily Telegraph recounts the following:
In the UK, white leftist members of the Black Lives Matter movement blockade an airport runway because of climate change.  It’s a Blair's Law moment for the ages:
Nine Black Lives Matter UK activists have been removed from the runway at London City airport after chaining themselves together in a six-hour protest that caused severe travel disruption …

Black Lives Matter UK said the protest aimed to highlight the environmental impact of air travel on the lives of black people locally and globally. It posted footage of protesters lying on the runway after chaining themselves together and unfurling banners shortly after dawn ...

All the protesters who had chained themselves together on the runway were white.

Black Lives Matter UK said the reason for the protest was that climate change was a “racist crisis”.

No black people have ever been killed by climate change. For that matter, no people at all have ever been killed by climate change.
[Blair's Law states:

Coined by Australian journalist, Tim Blair as "the ongoing process by which the world's multiple idiocies are becoming one giant, useless force."

1. The alliance between the radical Left and extremist Islamists is an example of Blair's Law.

2. The fact that white supremicists like David Duke supported 'Mother' Sheehan's sit-in at Crawford, TX is an example of Blair's law.]

The Guardian faithfully reported the protest, and (unintentionally, we presume) celebrated the comedic, Monty Pythonish nature of the events.
Nine activists who said they were from Black Lives Matter UK were arrested on Tuesday after storming the runway at London City airport and chaining themselves together in a six-hour protest that caused severe travel disruption.
Now, we muse, what were the problems that had galvanized this raggle taggle band of heroes into actions which cost so much and disrupted so many?  Well, because black lives really do matter, these folk had a manifesto ready and waiting for the media.
The Black Lives Matter group said the demonstration aimed to highlight the disproportionate impact air pollution had on black people in a wide-ranging press release that also cited the deteriorating environment in Newham, the wealthy clientele at London City airport, the migrant crisis in the Mediterranean, the impact climate change has on sub-Saharan Africa and immigration deportations as motives behind the action.
Wow.  Serious, serious stuff.  One of the protesters later protested that his particular issue had been dropped from the People's Manifesto, which he considered a gross violation of black lives which apparently do matter.  His issue, which deeply moved him, was the threatened extinction of snail darters on the moon.  He consequently had to protest against his fellow protesters.  This, according to The Guardian led to "chaotic scenes at the departure lounge of the airport near Canary Wharf".  Jaw dropping.

Some silly, superficial, short-sighted, narrow-minded black people complained.
Prominent black rights activists accused the Black Lives Matter movement in the UK of “cultural appropriation” as it emerged all nine protesters on the runway were white, but it garnered support from environmental groups. . . .

Black rights figures including Stafford Scott and Lee Jasper, a former equality adviser to Ken Livingstone, were publicly critical of the protest, accusing white, leftwing activists of hijacking the Black Lives Matter banner. “It’s cultural appropriation. Even our struggle no longer our own,” Jasper said on Twitter.
Once again black lives getting ripped off by whities--albeit leftwing activist whities. "Even our struggle no longer our own!"  Who can you trust these days, eh?  But the excluded protester was even more scathing:
But none of you, none care about the lunar snail darter.  So there.  I, and I alone am the Authentic One.  I, and I alone, care about black lives and believe they matter.
In case you have not heard of it before, we think it would be apposite to repeat Blair's Law:  "the ongoing process by which the world's multiple idiocies are becoming one giant, useless force."

One Giant Useless Force.  Now that does have a nice ring to it.
