LGBT advocacy today comes from a place of rage and hatred. It is a movement of obnoxious lecturing, intimidation, bullying, and bitter rage that does little more than validate prejudices.

Pennsylvania state Rep. Brian Sims is best known for responding to a visit from Vice President Mike Pence to his city by raising his middle finger and saying, “To be clear, we’re a City of soaring diversity…So keep that in mind while you’re here raising money to attack more families, spread more lies, blaspheme with your bible, and maybe even talk to a woman without your wife in the room.” He ended his post declaring, “So…get bent, then get out!”

LGBT media cheered on the display of “resistance” during gay pride month. Then, just a few days ago, Sims filmed himself berating an elderly woman who stood in front of Philadelphia’s Planned Parenthood quietly praying. In a tweet posting his video he said, “Push back against Planned Parenthood protestors, PLEASE! They prey on young women, they use white privilege, & shame. They’re racist, classist, bigots who NEED & DESERVE our righteous opposition. Push back, please! #YouAreStrongEnough.”


He then began recording the woman while asking his followers to donate $100 to Planned Parenthood for every hour she stood praying. He approached her and asked, “How many children have you clothed today? How many shoes have you put on children today? How many have you fed? Or have you spent all day standing outside Planned Parenthood shaming people for what they have a constitutional right to do?” The woman ignored him and continued praying.

For nine minutes Sims berated the woman with growing aggressiveness, calling her a “racist,” “disgusting,” and referring to her as an “old white lady” who is telling people what they can do with their bodies. As of this writing, the video has nearly 600,000 views. . . . .

The furore over Israel Folau's stated belief, in answer to a question, that unrepentant homosexuals are destined for Hell, is remarkable for one thing and one thing only — that it is news. And big news at that.

What should not surprise us is that it reminds us, if we needed reminding, that when it comes to the laws and social mores governing the denigration of people, cultures or religions, Christianity is in a class of its own. And not a good class.  Clearly, Christians cannot be offended, and while they have the right to believe what they will, they do not have the right to articulate those beliefs.

Those who have objected to Folau's utterance might well have a point in terms of some who do not conform to the Christian view regarding what is sexually acceptable, namely heterosexuality strictly confined within the bounds of marriage, are fragile, and therefore vulnerable. Some who take his warning to heart, we are told, might in fact be so vulnerable as to take their own lives.

That concern might well be genuine and realistic, but the bigger issue is his right to say what he said, and the extraordinary reaction to it.

At last--there is going to be some serious opposition to "conversion therapy" in New Zealand.  The idea that one can change one's sexual orientation back to its genetic constructs must be outlawed.  Young Labour and Young Greens are joining together to push the government to make the practice verboten.

We find ourselves in substantial agreement with these young warriors.  There is one problem, though.  They ooze with special pleading, which is a polite way of saying they appear to be rampant hypocrites.

Young Labour and the Young Greens are throwing their weight behind calls for the government to ban gay conversion therapy.   Thousands of people marched in Auckland's Pride Parade in February this year.  The two youth wings say the practice is unethical and inhumane and they have teamed up to launch a petition today urging Parliament to outlaw it.

Conversion therapies can include any form of treatment or psychotherapy that aims to change a person's sexual orientation, eliminate or suppress same-sex attraction.  [RadioNZ]

Trans-genderism is presently the most invasive and damaging form of "conversion therapy" known to mankind.

Academic Celebrates Degeneracy

A Maori academic has come forth claiming that pre-European settlement, Maori were sexually degenerate and engaged in unGodly practices.  Nothing surprising there at all.  Naturally, however, this modern academic is also claiming that the degeneracy of Maori represents a long honoured, storied historical tradition, which means (queue the drumroll) that modern Maori can glory in such degenerate practices in our modern world.

For Maori who don't fit neatly into carefully constructed moulds of gender and sexuality the term takatāpui can be a relief.  Scholar Elizabeth Kerekere argues that pre-colonial Maori were sexually experimental people who openly accepted gender and sexual fluidity.  Anyone who didn't fit into heterosexuality was considered "takatāpui".  [NZ Herald]

What is startling here is Kerekere seems to think that she has achieved some sort of amazing discovery.  What she appears to have forgotten is that whilst pre-colonial Maori were cunning and  highly intelligent, they were also degenerate--pretty much like today's average secular atheist.

Kerekere, who identifies as lesbian, has spent five years writing her PhD and discovering new evidence takatāpui existed in pre-colonial society. It was released recently at Victoria University.

Five years is a long time spent researching and searching for something that one would have expected to have existed in spades.

Michigan Tolerance Of Faith-Based Adoption Agencies Under the Gun

Yesterday the American Civil Liberties Union filed suit in federal court against the State of Michigan on behalf of two homosexual couples, challenging Michigan’s law that allows child-placement agencies to offer foster and adoption services consistent with the organizations’ deeply held religious beliefs.

In Dumont v. Lyon, the ACLU cites Michigan’s “practice of allowing state-contracted, taxpayer-funded child placing agencies to disqualify prospective families headed by same-sex couples based on agencies’ religious beliefs.” That violates the establishment clause of the First Amendment and the equal protection clause of the Fourteenth Amendment, the ACLU contends.

Conversely, in codifying the legislation in 2015, the state explained that the intent of the legislature was “to protect child placing agencies’ free exercise of religion protected by the United States constitution and the state constitution of 1963.”  In addition to Michigan, six other states (Alabama, Mississippi, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, and Virginia), have laws protecting religious organizations that provide foster and adoption services from being forced to violate their deeply held beliefs by placing children in single-parent, same-sex, or transgender households.

The ACLU’s lawsuit against Michigan, however, is the first to challenge the constitutionality of religious exemptions provided to faith-based foster and adoption social-service agencies. But the litigation against the Wolverine state appears to be but an opening salvo in the continuing cultural wars, with lawsuits likely to follow in other states. This litigation, as the ACLU puts it, seeks to “send a message to state legislatures that the Constitution does not permit these kinds of laws.”

While the legal dispute plays out in the courtroom, the ACLU and likeminded organizations are advancing on a second front — in the court of public opinion. In fact, one LGBT think tank released a new television ad, entitled “Kids Pay the Price,” to coincide with the ACLU’s lawsuit challenging Michigan’s law. The ad, as its creator Movement Advancement Project framed it, “depicts the kinds of harms children can face when adoption agencies and workers are exempted from following key child welfare laws based on individual beliefs.”

In selling its litigation, the ACLU is also parroting the same “it’s for the kids” theme. Here’s Jay Kaplan, a staff attorney for the ACLU of Michigan: “There are 13,000 children in Michigan’s child welfare system. Allowing agencies to turn away loving, qualified families based on religious criteria creates fewer families for children, reducing their chances of being placed in a suitable family, or any family at all.”

But the children are merely a shield behind which the ACLU and other activists seek to advance their true objective — destroying religious freedom in the public sphere when it conflicts with the LGBT agenda. Here’s ACLU senior staff member Leslie Cooper discussing the underlying principle pushing the Michigan litigation: “Government services must not be provided based on religious standards and taxpayer money must not be used to fund agencies that discriminate based on religion or sexual orientation.”

It’s not about the children. It’s never about the children. And if the ACLU prevails in its litigation, fewer children will find loving families, because the most experienced and qualified agencies will be forced out of child-placement services. We saw this in 2006 when Catholic Charities, one of the nation’s oldest adoption agencies, closed its doors in Boston rather than violate its conscience. Since then, agencies in San Francisco and Washington D.C. and, statewide, in Illinois have been forced to shutter their child-placement services as well.

That’s the end game for the ACLU: Rid the public sector of religious organizations unless they capitulate to the LGBT agenda. But when you force faith-based organizations out, as one Boston-area adoption consultant and lobbyist lamented, “ultimately, the only losers are the kids.” And religious liberty.

We are living amidst a rapid integration into the void--to use the words of Cornelius Van Til.  The waters swirl faster as they approach the plug hole.  So with cultures going "down the tubes".

Consider the speed at which sexual degradation has morphed into an inviolable human right.  The degradation used to consist of homosexualists coming "out of the closet" to argue that what they practised and promoted was a human right because they were "born that way".  No-one has ever discovered a homosexual gene, but they were certain there was one.  The issue was akin to ethnicity they argued: no-one should be stigmatised for the way they were born, for their genetic code.

Then, the issue "morphed" into an argument over whether people had a human right to choose to be homosexual.  The proposition now became that homosexuals were not genetically made that way, but they were choosing homosexual practice and lifestyle as a preference.   Homosexuality morphed from a genetic-based right into a freedom, or volitional, right.  It was a rapid transformation.  The next iteration was even more rapid: homosexualists had a volitional right to marry and have their "marriage" codified in law; but they also had a freedom right to divorce and reverse their homosexualism to heterosexuality or bi-sexuality, or whatever they wanted.  What was required, demanded, was that everyone else cheer and celebrate their choices.

Fast following came genderism.  This next iteration released human gender from one's genetic structure, and made it also a matter of preference and volition.

An Australian church has received “vicious” threats to its safety after it displayed a sign stating the Biblical position on marriage, which activists claim “cause distress”.

Ahead of a postal vote on same-sex marriage, the Bellbowrie Community Church was targeted with threats and abuse after posting the sign, which pointed out that “God designed marriage between a man and a woman.”

Senior pastor at the Brisbane church, John Gill, told the Daily Mail Australia: “On Facebook, a lot of the stuff has been quite vicious at times. I mean quite physically threatening. That’s been scary for some in the church.  “One of the comments I saw, for example, was a suggestion that people bring petrol down and set the church on fire.”

He added: “There are two sides to this debate so it was no surprise that some do not agree with the sign. But what did surprise me was the degree of malice expressed by some, which could only be described as hate speech.”

An Australian politician who has raised concerns about the impact on freedom of religion of attempts to redefine marriage says she has been subjected to bigotry worse than racism.

Karina Okotel, a Vice President of the Federal Liberal Party and who is of Sri Lankan heritage, says she has occasionally been subjected to racism in Australia. However, the “bigotry”, “discrimination” and “hate” she has experienced recently, due to her having opposed attempts to redefine marriage, have been “far worse.” She says, “I have even been told to go back to my own country, which is difficult given that I was born in Australia.
