Murder Is What It Really Is

‘Learning Disabilities’ Given as Reason Not To Resuscitate 19 Patients

The Christian Institute

United Kingdom

The Sunday Times has revealed that 19 hospital patients who later died were given Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) orders because they had learning disabilities or Down’s syndrome.  A leaked report from the Learning Disabilities Mortality Review programme recommended that doctors should never issue a DNR order on such grounds.

The newspaper suggested the number of DNRs given to those with learning disabilities could be much higher, as only a quarter of reviews into the 4,302 deaths reported between July 2016 and December 2018 had been completed by the end of last year.

Falling short

The review analysed data to examine how care for those with disabilities could be improved.

Researchers found that eight per cent of adults with learning disabilities who had died had been given “care that fell so short of good practice that it significantly impacted on their wellbeing or directly contributed to their cause of death”.

The average age of death for people with learning disabilities was 60 for men and 59 for women.  This compares to the average life expectancy of 79 for men and 83 for women.

"Just" Causes Justify Lawbreaking

Superior Mortals Have More Rights

Self-righteous precious petals are at it again.  There are plenty of folk making up the ranks of those who have "higher causes" which justify the suspension of employment obligations it would seem.  A senior emergency doctor, working at the Whanganui Hospital, recently took part in a public protest against the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA) presently being negotiated.  No problems so far.

But the self-righteous doctor had a higher calling than ordinary mortals.  He presented at a demonstration clothed in his work uniform, clambered up on top of a vehicle (not his own) and sat on it, refusing to move.  He was arrested by the police and later discharged with a formal verbal warning.  His employers (the District Health Board) summoned him to a meeting where they told him to cease and desist.  His union is now protesting the draconian, lawless, oppressive behaviour of his employer.  This from Stuff:

The Tyranny of the Administrative State

Asinine Tyrannical Law

The administrative state is one which busies itself organising the lives of its citizens.  Granted, there must be a certain body of administrative law.  Road rules, which prevent accidents, are an excellent example.  But more and more secular Western states seek to administer the lives of their citizens by means of endless administrative regulations.

Breaches of administrative law result in fines and eventual imprisonment.  Note that under administrative law the "criminal" might not have done any actual harm to his neighbour's life or property.  His "crime" was that he transgressed an administrative law which had been promulgated to prevent any harm to his neighbour in the first place.  Administrative law is what we call "cocoon" law.  It is preventative in nature and intent.  But the outcome is a progressive statist tyranny, where, in the end, the only part of the human anatomy not regulated by government rules, regulations, and statutes is the rear end.  For every other human function and activity there are bureaucratically promulgated rules and regulations.

Beneath Contempt

Legalisms To Salve Perverted Consciences

Sex selection abortions clarified as perfectly acceptable in the UK.  This has been the consistent testimony of abortion advocates and pro-abortion groups.  This breaking news from The Telegraph:
Ann Furedi, of BPAS, [the UK's largest abortion charity] said the law does not prevent women from choosing a termination on the grounds of gender and she even compared it to abortion after rape.  Mrs Furedi's comments come weeks after it was disclosed that the CPS [Crown Prosecution Service] had decided not to prosecute two doctors who were exposed by a Daily Telegraph investigation arranging terminations purely because the unborn baby was a girl.
This is yet another proof of how evil and wicked the whole abortion trade is.  The depraved logic is inescapable: the "thing" inside a woman's womb is not a human being, not a person.  Therefore, the sex of the thing is completely irrelevant when deciding whether to kill it off or not.

What is equally depraved is the ratiocinations issuing forth from the UK prosecution authorities to justify this position (in which they have relied upon advice from the British Medical Association).
