We Will Fight Them On the Beaches . . .
Some have said the abiding legacy of current Prime Minister, John Key will be that he single handedly managed to turn upstanding, decent New Zealand parents into criminals. In this he has not just been a naive fool; he has done irreparable harm.
The organization Family First has just published a video detailing the damage done to families by the brute force of tyrannical government.
Every New Zealander needs to watch and consider carefully what they are going to do about it. Remember, the "Anti-Smacking Law" was passed by arrogant "we know best" politicians although it was opposed by eighty percent of the adult population in this country.
Key "promised" the electorate that parents would not be made criminals as a result of his creepy compromise with the anti-smacking zealots. He also promised that if ever it were the case that good parents were made criminals, he would repeal or change the law. That promise has been broken. Prime Minister Key is now fairly adjudged to be an "ordinary" politician--that is, a professional liar.
We say again: watch the video and consider carefully what you are going to do about this intolerable and growing despotic evil in New Zealand. The parents profiled in this video have been forced to enter Kafka's world--courtesy of the Prime Minister in New Zealand.
One piece of advice: if Child Youth and Family, or police turn up on your doorstep, lawyers say maintain silence, refusing to answer any questions without legal representation. Do not admit these people to your home.
One final note: one can watch this video and be thankful that juries still sit in such cases and deploy common sense, despite the fact that the law and the authorities are asses. But, under the "reforms" proposed by the Minister of Justice, currently before Parliament, juries will not be adjudicating on such cases much longer. Guilt or innocence is going to be decided by magistrates. Welcome to the world of faceless state functionaries imprisoning people in a maze of despotic bureaucratic machinations. Welcome to the kind beneficence of the National Government.

CYF is a very powerful and unaccountable bureaucracy. We recently were interviewed by our local paper with regard to the Home for Life program of CYF. This took place after being instructed by CYF staff last year not to speak to the media! We were phoned within two days and invited to come and meet to discuss our concerns. We have done this twice in the past with zero effect. We asked why, was it in response to the article. "Yes" came the answer. We asked if we "...would be listened to this time and would it make a difference?" The answer was that we would get less of a hearing this time and last time!! An incredible admission from CYF staff. Our response, "...why then would we bother to waste our time (meeting with them)?"
