Madness On A Grand Scale

New Zealand is on the precipice of a great evil.  A bill has received its first reading in Parliament which will make the killing of children yet in their mother's womb a woman's right until the birth of the child.  Peel back all the "rightsie" liberal claims and assertions and this is the stark reality which confronts the nation. 

Labour and Greens have promulgated a bill that has plenty to say about a "woman's right" to make up her own mind about such things.  But nowhere within the legislation is there any recognition at all for the human being--the most vulnerable human being--within the mother's womb.  That human person will have no recognition nor protection in law.  It's all about the mother.

And while we are gasping at the terrible proposal, it's worth noting that the Glorious Bill does not recognize in any respect the rights of the father.  Nil.  Nugatory.  Zero.

Everyone who votes for, or supports, this Bill is proceeding on what they believe is an unassailable foundation: they are emphatically certain that the baby within the mother's womb is NOT a human being.
  In their minds there can be no doubt whatsoever.  But, pray, let them tell us by what standard have they decided that the babe within is NOT a human being?  The testimony of science says, "No such standard here." 

So, the stark reality remains.  When you abort a child within the womb, you are killing an innocent human being who is at the most vulnerable stage of life they will ever be.  Where we come from that's called bullying.  It's also a bunch of other nasty things--such as murder.

The New Zealand abortion bill also does something really strange.  It says to all pregnant women they are perfectly at liberty and within their rights to kill the baby nestled within their womb.  No blame.  No foul.  But the instant the babe passes through the birth canal things change.  If the mother then kills the child she would be guilty of a most egregious act of murder. 

So, let's get this straight.  Killing the baby while within their womb is hunky dory.  Killing the baby the instant they are out of the womb is murder. 

In these matters, the law is an ass.  So are those who are making the law.
