Trans-genderism has spread through the West like fire through desiccated manuka. It has always been around, of course, from earliest classical times. But the recent transition in the West from a dabbling fringe to mainstream promotion has been startling. Overnight, it seems, transgenderism has moved from being a freedom right (OK to change one's gender if one wishes) to a demand right (society must facilitate and encourage changing one's gender as a principle of human of fundamental human rights).
One reason for this rapid transformation from "freedom right" to "demand right" is that the effectuation of changing one's gender requires institutional and medical support. After all, it's hard to operate surgically upon oneself. It's difficult to effect hormonal transformation without access to some pretty powerful drugs which are far too dangerous to sell over the counter. For these reasons society has drafted into the cause, and become the victim of an enormous guilt trip. If transgenderism is neither supported nor sustained by the educational and medical establishments, it would amount to a cruel joke, a tease--and little more. And that cannot be allowed.
But there is a deeper, spiritual reason as to why transgenderism has become more rabid than a Californian forest fire.
It is the One Ring--an ultimate empowerment to man over his own identity and destiny. Trans-gendersism rules and controls all other human expressions, identities, and desires. It is the One Ring "to rule them all, and in the darkness bind them".
It represents the teaming up of Satanic and demonic forces with the most pure expression of human will and self-control. Trans-genderism steps forward to break the influence and power of genes, of upbringing, of family socialization, and of race. It represents for each transient "trans" the Brave New World. It celebrates the ultimate Free Man. It represents a rebellion against God in a most extreme and pure form. Therefore, it is also one of the Satan's "greatest" works.
In the days of our Lord there was present in Judea a plague of cases of demonic possession. This served God's good purposes. For one, it reminded Jewish people of the reality of demonic power. Secondly, it demonstrated the depths of demonic animus toward God and His covenant people. Thirdly, it provided a startling revelation of the power of the Christ as He publicly humiliated and destroyed the factotums of the Evil One. It was an intense battle, but the demons were thoroughly routed.
Trans-genderism represents a similar kind of struggle. For Christians it represents a responsibility to stand firm, fighting the good fight of faith. Once again, the Lord calls us to form ranks, and stand.
What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God says:
“I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them,
and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.
Therefore go out from their midst,
and be separate from them, says the Lord,
and touch no unclean thing;
then I will welcome you,
and I will be a father to you,
and you shall be sons and daughters to me,
says the Lord Almighty.” [II Corinthians 6: 16-18]
