A Battle of Cosmic Proportions
"The Christian views abortion as an expression of human wickedness and an act of rebellion against God. Not only does it transgress God's law ("Thou shalt not murder"); abortion is an act designed to assault God by destroying the pinnacle of His creation, the creation made in His image--man.
"Any attack against human life is an attack against the One who is the Author of Life. The Christian views the present abortion craze not as an isolated event in the horror of human history, but as another expression of man's continuing rebellion against the Lord. This rebellion not only spans the entire age of human existence, but it encompasses realms beyond man's existence. In combating abortion one is engaging in a battle of cosmic proportions against an evil of incomprehensible dimensions. We are not merely struggling against the wickedness of the the human heart, but "against the rulers, against the powers, against the forces of the darkness of this world, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12)
