Jabba The State Starving to Death

Rough Justice

The role of the modern State has developed into a wonder to behold.  It has been for some time our Nanny-in-Chief.  The evolution from Nanny into Jabba the State, however, has been relatively rapid.  The further it goes  the more grotesque and ineffective the State becomes.  A curse rests upon all those who are devotees and worshippers of Jabba--and their numbers are legion.

Evil integrates into the void.  It always does.  Not because of some static Natural Law, mind you.  It integrates into the void because evil is destructive, and when it matures it turns upon itself and destroys itself.  This self-immolation occurs because in the final analysis anything which rises up against the Creator of all cannot survive.  It will destroy itself.  It will be cast down.  The most just, fitting way of destroying evil is to ensure it destroys itself.

We see examples of this on every side.  Europe and the former Soviet Union have aborted themselves into a state of such population decline that it cannot now be rectified.  Both Europe and Russia cannot replace their own populations; the decline is irreversible.  The secularist societies they have sought to build are collapsing in upon themselves.  Think of Detroit--empty, vacant, and a shadow of its former self--as a symbol of what Europe and the former Soviet Union are  becoming.  The only way to prevent it is to open up the borders to mass immigration, in the hope that migrants will fill the population gaps.  Hence Chancellor Merkel's unwavering commitment to the course of open borders.  There is no other option available.  Eventually, then, Europe will become Islamic.  It will see this as a way of "salvation".  The very things in which Europe has glorified  have led to its destruction.  Jabba's curse comes to pass.

The curse of integrating into the void happens on a macro-scale.  But it also happens on a micro-scale.
Family breakdown in New Zealand has led to all sorts of social and economic calamities.  One of them is obesity.  The various departments of public welfare and health scurry round telling us all that obesity is now a major epidemic.  The "war" must be fought on numerous fronts.  Lunches in schools, for example, must be so regulated and stipulated by Jabba that not a crumb of fat nor an ounce of sugar must be available for sale at school lunch bars.  Overnight, schools are transformed into dietary swat teams.  The spirit of Michelle Obama stalks the corridors, whilst Jabba nods his corpulent head in approval.

The heavy handed, "we-know-best" nannying has generated an equally nefarious reaction.  It ends up making the problem much worse.
One of the country's largest state schools is considering a ban on fastfood being delivered to the school grounds for safety reasons.  In a recent newsletter Westlake Girls High School principal Jane Stanley told parents and pupils the number of delivery drivers frequenting the Takapuna, North Shore school's grounds was becoming a concern, and asked pupils to "refrain" from making orders.  That included UberEats and pizza deliveries.  [NZ Herald]
Now, of course, the school has an on-site canteen--serving lashings of "approved" food.  Pupils have other tastes, however--in particular for all the things which are verboten.  The principal denies that the intent to ban these e-orders which deliver food to pupils on campus has anything to do with what is stocked in the school canteen. It has nothing to do with "health" concerns.
She couldn't say how regularly students were having food delivered, but said it was a noticeable number.  The main issue with the deliveries was security, rather than health concerns. The school, with 2214 pupils, has an on-site canteen.  "(Health) is probably a factor, but we're not even going there. We're just discussing it at the moment," she said.
So, big begged question: why are pupils ordering from outside fast food delivery services, and not using the school canteen?  Because New Zealand's version of Michelle Obama's approved food menu is solely on sale and the kids don't like it.
"I wouldn't say we won't implement an outright ban, but right now we're simply encouraging students to make and bring their lunch."  She believed other schools were facing a similar issue. . . . "It's about giving the students what they need. We don't want any child going hungry, but equally we want them to be safe."

UberEats, a service that allows people to order food from a selection of cafes and restaurants and have it brought to them by a driver, was launched in New Zealand in March after beginning in the United States.  McDonald's joined the app, meaning in central Auckland suburbs it's possible to order from the fast food giant for a $6 fee.
Once upon a time in a galaxy far, far away some folk suggested that families were a thing of the past.  Everything which families formerly did could now be done better by far through the efficiencies and powers of the state.  Marriage was to be redundant.  People could move in and out of "family" relationships at will.  Children would be raised successfully into new modern citizens by the state run education system.  Jabba the State grew more corpulent by the decade.

There was no problem Jabba could not solve with a $6 fee and more rules and regulations.   And then life-spans began to shorten, the population began to decline, and diseases exploded.  The starving Jabba ended up eating himself.  And so it always goes.
