6 Things You Need to Know . . .

The 5th Planned Parenthood Video

By Marissa Poulson
Alliance Defending Freedom

As I watched the remains of a 20-week old twin being picked apart in the latest undercover Planned Parenthood video, I couldn't help but think of my 14-month-old twin nephews. The sad (but unfortunately not-so-shocking) reality is that if my sister-in-law was not pro-life, these sweet boys, with their tiny baby fingers and toes, could have been broken down like an old car and collected for parts to fulfill line items on a Planned Parenthood budget.

Watching such a graphic, stomach-turning, portrayal of complete disregard for precious life is certainly not on my bucket list, and I'm sure it's not on yours either, but this stuff is really happening. If we don't speak out, if we don't show the world what Planned Parenthood is doing, if we don't show current and future expectant mothers the truth—that they are carrying living babies in their wombs and not a glob of cells—then how can we expect to put a stop to it?

If you can't stomach the whole video (and I don't blame you), the screenshots below tell the story of how Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast in Texas treats babies in the womb and gives you six things that you need to know and can share with your family and friends about why it is so important to defund Planned Parenthood (Warning: The graphic reality of what Planned Parenthood does is visible in the images below.)

1. Planned Parenthood is well-aware that babies in the womb are human beings.

While abortionists may tell expectant mothers that they are carrying a glob of cells or that life begins at birth, the people at Planned Parenthood know better. Here, Melissa Farrell, director of research for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast refers to aborted babies as cadavers. We use this term when referring to dead human bodies. If these aborted babies were never really alive or never really babies, why would they be referred to as cadavers and not just a bunch of tissue or cells?

2. Planned Parenthood appears to discuss altering their abortion methods to procure "intact" dead babies. This is illegal.

Previously released videos have gone into greater detail of how Planned Parenthood might alter its methods, including using ultrasound guidance to determine where to "crush" and delivering the baby feet first before aborting it (the illegal partial-birth abortion method).

3. Abortions after 20 weeks are illegal in Texas unless the health of the mother is at risk, but the video mentions "samples" from "14-22 weeks of gestation" and the abortionist describes doing "20-, 22-weekers."

Texas passed its 'pain capable' 20-week abortion ban in July 2013. The Center for Medical Progress investigators recorded the video in April 2015.

4. Mothers are valued for their "pain tolerance" as it helps provide "intact fetal cadavers," which is critical to Planned Parenthood's bottom line.

In the video, Planned Parenthood explains that the mother's dilation or lack thereof affects their ability to harvest certain body parts.

5. Organs come out really, REALLY well and eyeballs are "so easy."

6. Planned Parenthood sees financial benefits from selling baby parts.

Planned Parenthood's bottom line

In the first screenshot, you saw how Planned Parenthood referred to baby parts as line items in a budget. Unfortunately, another line item in Planned Parenthood's budget is your tax dollars. It's time to put a stop to this taxpayer-funded selling of baby parts, defund Planned Parenthood, and give our taxpayer dollars to local public health clinics that care more about women and their children instead of their own bottom line.

Take Action:

Defunding Planned Parenthood and stopping these atrocities will not happen unless we take action beyond watching videos online and expressing our anger and dismay on social media. Visit ADFlegal.org/DefundPP for four ways that you and your family and friends can take action today.
