When Political Correctness Meets Islamic Schools

Ignoring the Obvious

The UK Government--riddled with political correctness--lumps all faith-based (religious) schools together.  A Christian school falls in the same category as an Islamic school.  No distinctions are made between the two religions.  To make any distinctions would be discriminatory.  Discrimination is a big No No.

When Islamic schools are found to be in breach of government educational guidelines or standards, all schools, including Christian schools, are brought under stricter and stricter controls from the state.  And some (if not many) Islamic schools are way off the mark.

School Teacher  Planned Attacks Against Parliament, Shopping Centres

Obsessed With Islamic State

A faith school teacher worked to radicalise his students and obsessed over plans to attack major landmarks in the British capital, a London court heard Tuesday.  A self-confessed “Loyal follower” of the Islamic State, 25-year-old Islamic radical Umar Ahmed Haque is standing trial for plotting to attack civilians and officials in London and targeted the Palace of Westminster and its Queen Elizabeth bell tower, and Westfield shopping centre, reports the BBC.

Among his significant list of potential targets were soldiers of the Guards, the iconic troops which protect the monarch in London, members of the police, diplomats, journalists, members of street protest groups Britain First and the English Defence League, and even other Muslims from the Shia denomination.  The Old Bailey also heard his physical targets included the London transport system, court buildings, and banks.
Now, at first glance, one may have assumed that this teacher was rogue and that his terrorist plots were clandestine, in no way integrated with his day job.  But no.  This teacher was openly promoting eschatological Islamic violence to his students.

The prosecution stated the Muslim had become “fascinated” by the Islamic State. The court heard he had shown execution videos to children under his care at his Islamic Mosque school, aged between 11 and 14, and had even had them roleplay “scenarios of violent action against police.”
In other words, Umar Ahmed Haque was training his students to be jihadis--in a government funded school.  Quite right, then, for the Government to arrest and charge Mr Haque for planning and plotting to kill others and for training children to follow in his footsteps.  But clearly the schools at which he taught now need to be placed under investigation and interrogation.  It turns out that Umar Ahmed Haque was teaching at secondary schools in at least two different mosques on London

He denies showing videos of beheadings to pupils at the school or plotting terrorist acts, but admits training children at the Ripple Road Mosque in Barking, east London, where he also taught. Was Umar Ahmed Haque going rogue, or was he encouraged by the schools, either tacitly or actively?

But the extremes of political correctness will now likely shine forth on this matter.  In order to "cloak" its investigation of Umar Ahmed Haque's schools, if it runs true to past form, the government will insist on investigating all religious schools, including Christian schools, and placing them under further strictures and restrictions.  In that way the PC state will seek to protect itself from even a whiff of discriminatory behaviour.

In reality the Emperor reveals to the whole world that it has no clothes on.  It is butt naked, and ugly.
