30th Warmest July on Record!

Things are Hotting Up

Yup, things are definitely hotting up. The shrills of global warming who are telling us that our children will not survive, and that, indeed, it is the end of the world, (see for example the indefatigable Mark Lynas of the Guardian) will no doubt up the output to new decibel levels with the latest satellite global temperature report. The July global temperature figures are in and have been published.
It turns out that the month-of-July readings have global temperatures slightly above the long term average line (the anomaly line) by +0.048 degrees. So, should we be worried?
Hardly. As a wise sage observed, one swallow does not a summer make. It turns out that July was the 30th warmest July on record--which is a rather ambiguous way of saying that you have to go back to 1936 to compare. July 1936 was the hottest July on record, a full 2.55 degrees above the global temperature recorded this past month. How does that compute with a world which is supposedly heating up due to man made carbon emissions?
According to the theories of the global warmers, this should not be happening. A July which is cooler than the hottest July by 30 places is an embarrassment. Better go back and re-look at those theories and projections, chaps.
