Desperate Times, Part II

Squirming, and False Modesty

We hope that abortion will be a major issue in the forthcoming 2016 Presidential election in the United States.  The Democratic Party's plank is that abortion is entirely acceptable, moral, legal, and justified right up until the moment a child emerges from the mother's birth canal.  In the perverted world in which we now live, this position is said to derive from a manufactured human right: a woman's right to privacy.

The media, the Commentariat, the Chattering Classes, and the "intelligentsia" do not want abortion to be publicly debated.  The Left and the Democratic Party do not want to front up to the holocaust they promote, endorse, and fund.  So, deflection is the order of the day.  But the excuses, the evasions, and the pettifogging are, and will increasingly become, self-evident.

The Vice-President, Joe Biden is considering running for the Democratic nomination for President.  It is almost certain that he will enter the race.  It is highly likely that he will be the Party's nominee, as Hillary Clinton is shamed off the national stage.  Joe has offered a striking defence for supporting abortion.  It's above his pay-grade (a position he has learned from his boss, Barack Obama).
Joe Biden: Argument On Abortion ‘Above My Pay Grade’

Vice President Joe Biden is currently considering a run for president in 2016, but it appears that he is also trying to square his Catholic faith with the Democratic party’s historic support for abortion rights.

In an interview with America magazine, Biden discussed his position on abortion and even borrowed rhetoric from his boss to diffuse the controversial issue.  Twice during the interview, Biden insisted he was a practicing Catholic, and even indicated that life began in the womb.  “I’m prepared to accept that at the moment of conception there’s human life and being, but I’m not prepared to say that to other God-fearing, non-God fearing people that have a different view,” he said.  But Biden explained that he would not impose his own “precise view” on when human life began on “other people who are equally God-fearing, equally as committed to life, equally as committed to the sanctity of life.”

As a longtime Democrat, Biden has firmly supported the right to abortions and accepted financial support from abortionist corporations like Planned Parenthood.  “I don’t want to start a theological discussion, I’ll get in trouble, it’s above my pay grade,” he said, arguing that there was “disagreement” in the Catholic church on whether the position on life was a “de fide” matter of faith doctrine for Catholics.
Let's get this straight.  It's not above Joe's pay grade to decide that murder is morally wrong, and must be a capital crime.  He has no trouble imposing this view upon others, upon the law code, and in the courts.  To be sure, others have a different view, but Joe stands firm--murder, or theft, or kidnapping, or rape--all these are matters where Joe would impose his position upon others.  But murder of an unborn infant, well that suddenly is beyond the pale.  It is above Joe's paygrade.

Joe, at this point, resembles a squirming worm.
