Only a golfer would empathise and appreciate this obviously true story.
Two guys were playing golf. One was about to chip on to the green when he saw a funeral procession near the course. He stopped, took off his cap, and bowed his head to pray. He stood there with his head bowed until the procession passed.
“Wow,” said his companion. “That was very touching. I have never seen that kind of respect from a golfer. Usually guys are too preoccupied with their golf game.”
The guy said, “Well, we were married for forty-seven years.”
